Welcome to my website CbyCGraphicdesign. Let me tell you a little about me and what inspires me to bring you want I do! Thank you for taking this time to get to know me a little better.
I was born and raised in Dallas. After graduating from SMU with a BA in Psychology and a minor in English, I worked for a while as an IT recruiter. That was always a job it was never my passion.
From an early age, my eye for design was encouraged.
As early as High School my dad would ask an opinion on promotional items his company and department put out. I wasn’t the final say but often my suggestions were used.
During college, I got a call asking if I’d be interested in doing the neighborhood quarterly newsletter, was always fiddling with clip art, colors, fonts. Invitations for the neighborhood Christmas party as well as random can you do this or that.
Family Gatherings, birth announcements, someone wanted something special I was the go to person.
I was a dabbler, it never even crossed my mind that I could try to make a living off this work. It was my way of unwinding and relaxing working with graphics.
Talking to one of the Graphic Artists on one of my games when I was helping him with some image work made me start questioning if could this be a business and not just a hobby.

The turning point for me thinking this could maybe I could turn this into a business happened Spring of 2017. My first real event the fashion show at the lady’s fashion store. Repeat client was an author who I created a lot of games for her Facebook group.
Creations was born. I quickly realized if I’m going to have a business I need a website so I enrolled in a couple of website design classes. I know my way around a website.
For most of my training, well I’m self-taught. Where some people go that’s not something that can be done I’m more of I make no promises but let’s see what we can do.
The first items I ever really took the time to design and try to sell were my Life Moment baby/childhood books. At that time I opened my Etsy shop.
At first, the focus was on design and printing products strictly. I ended up with one order that required a very specific cut and ended up with a Cricut. Now we have all sorts of Vinyl embellished items as part of my line.
For the last 2 years, I’ve been doing a lot of in-person markets and festivals. It’s been fun, I’ve learned a lot and met a number of great people but one thing I have learned is there is a major lack of cross-promotion so I took a couple of months off after Christmas 2021, (too cold for this Texan to do outdoor events) and Launched Northern DFW Happenings. Early July Northern and I were Featured in Shout Out DFW you can read the article here!
